Changes in childhood vaccination schedule for 2025

In the Netherlands, people are vaccinated against 13 infectious diseases. This page provides links to the pages on these diseases. They include information about the most common symptoms, how you might get the disease, and how to prevent it. It also includes the vaccination schedule, showing which vaccinations are given at different ages.
Starting in 2025, the vaccination schedule has been updated. As requested by the state secretary of the Ministry of Health, Welfare and Sport (VWS), the Health Council evaluated the vaccination schedule of the National Immunisation Programme to see if there was room for improvement. The Health Council provided an advisory opinion to retain all vaccinations and shift several vaccination times, to offer children even better protection. Below you can read about what was changed and why.
