Changes in childhood vaccination schedule for 2025

Starting in 2025, the vaccination schedule used in the National Immunisation Programme for children will be updated. The changes apply to four scheduled vaccination times. This offers children even better protection against infectious diseases, such as measles and whooping cough.

Starting in 2025, the vaccination schedule has been updated. As requested by the state secretary of the Ministry of Health, Welfare and Sport (VWS), the Health Council evaluated the vaccination schedule of the National Immunisation Programme to see if there was room for improvement. The Health Council provided an advisory opinion to retain all vaccinations and shift several vaccination times, to offer children even better protection.
